Gameday Angels Grabs Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Colorado Springs CageRats

The Gameday Angels took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Springs CageRats on Sunday. The game was tied at one with the Angels batting in the top of the eighth when an error allowed a run to score for the Angels.

Pitching was strong on both sides. The Angels pitchers struck out five, while the CageRats hurlers sat down 13.

Brian Walters started the game for the Angels. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, walking zero. Dominic Lopez was the winning pitcher for the Angels. The southpaw surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Hayden Nerwin, Vincent Quintana, and Jace Schlegel all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Ryan Dollar started on the mound for the CageRats. The hurler went six innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out eight. Mac Burke worked the last three innings and suffered the loss, allowing one earned run, one hit, one walk while striking out five.
