Bee Jays Clinches Lead In Ninth Inning For Victory Over Dodge City A’s

The Liberal Bee Jays stole the lead late and defeated the Dodge City A’s 7-5 on Thursday. The Bee Jays were down 5-3 in the top of the ninth inning when Isaac Webb singled on a 1-2 count, driving in three runs. The Bee Jays earned the victory despite allowing Dodge City A’s to score three runs in the fourth inning.

Hunter Phillips started the game for Liberal and the bulldog lasted five innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out four, and walking seven. Konnar Williams led the Bee Jays to victory on the mound in relief. Williams went four innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

The Bee Jays tallied 13 hits on the day. Ethan Calder, Silas Shaffer, and Webb each had multiple hits for Liberal.
